over the next 20–25 years.
Guidance:
London Councils Air Quality and Planning Guidance provides technical advice to local authorities on how to deal with planning applications that could have an impact on air quality.
Sustainable Design and Construction Supplementary Planning Guidance aims to support developers achieve sustainable development. This includes ensuring the developments are air quality neutral for buildings and transport.
The Control of Dust And Emissions During Construction and Demolition Supplementary Planning Guidance provides detailed guidance to reduce emissions of dust, PM10 and PM2.5 from construction and demolition activities. It also aims to manage emissions of nitrogen oxides (NOx) from construction and demolition machinery.
NRMM:
Non-road mobile machinery (NRMM) is defined as any mobile machine or vehicle that is not solely intended for carrying passengers or goods on the road. The Emissions requirements are only applicable to NRMM that is powered by diesel, including diesel hybrids. From 1st September 2020 the NRMM emissions standards will apply to all sites in Greater London. For more information please refer to:
